Lamine Yamal hopes to achieve World Cup glory as a teenager, similar to Kylian Mbappe’s 2018 triumph, as Spain prepares to face France in the semi-finals.
Mbappe became the second teenager to score in a World Cup final in 2018, while Yamal, who recently turned 17, has already made a significant impact in Euro 2024.
Despite a hamstring injury scare, Yamal has started most of Spain’s matches in this tournament, though his captain Rodri advises him to manage his anxiety and showcase his importance.
Mbappe, now 27, is aiming for his third consecutive World Cup final and is a leading contender for the Golden Boot, while Yamal, despite less experience, has a surprisingly strong head-to-head record against Mbappe in club and international matches.
