In a renewed bid to protect the integrity of its logistics operations, the management of Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) issued a public statement on July 13, 2026, announcing an aggressive nationwide crackdown on the unauthorized use of its corporate fleet.
The multi-billion dollar conglomerate has unveiled a public whistleblowing initiative that promises a hefty ₦500,000 cash reward to any individual who provides verifiable information leading to the interception of unauthorized goods, or the arrest of drivers and third-party collaborators engaging in illegal haulage.
According to the management statement issued in Lagos, the campaign is designed to permanently eliminate the activities of unscrupulous individuals who exploit Dangote-branded trucks to move unauthorized commercial goods or transport undocumented passengers across the country.
”Anyone with verifiable information that leads to the arrest of persons involved in illegal haulage activities or the recovery of unauthorized goods transported on Dangote trucks will receive a cash reward of Five Hundred Thousand Naira,” the company stated.
To clarify its operational boundaries, the management explicitly outlined the specific products permitted on vehicles belonging to its various subsidiaries.
The company warned that any vehicle found operating outside these exact product mandates will be deemed as participating in illegal haulage. Under the directive, both the offending drivers and the owners of the illicit cargo risk immediate arrest, forfeiture of the goods, and prosecution under applicable federal laws.
To ensure efficient enforcement, Dangote Group has advised the public to provide detailed reporting information when calling its dedicated emergency hotlines. Whistleblowers are encouraged to note down the truck type, license plate number, cab number, specific location, description of the cargo, truck color, and provide photographs where safely possible.
Law enforcement agencies, including the Nigerian Police Force, have been fully briefed and mobilized across key logistics hubs including the Obajana, Okpella, and Gboko plants to arrest violators on sight. DIL reiterated that public cooperation remains the ultimate weapon in safeguarding legitimate commerce and ensuring corporate transparency across its vast West African supply network.
