Though I cannot deny it, Harry Kane and England are my favorite team in the world. I’ve followed the Three Lions for years, but this World Cup, one player has captured my attention more than any other.
Jude Bellingham’s work rate at this tourney has really impressed me. From the first whistle to the last, he covers every blade of grass. He attacks with drive, he defends with heart, and he connects midfield to attack like he was born for it.
He is totally diligent to his calling. Reports say he is usually first to hit the training ground and last to leave. That discipline shows on the pitch. No showboating, no excuses — just pure football and commitment to the team.
I wish Africa, and especially Nigeria’s super stars, will learn from his humility and high work rate. Talent alone isn’t enough at this level. It’s the humility to work, to listen, and to sacrifice that separates good players from world-class ones like Bellingham.
As England get set to square up with ruthless Norway that sent Brazil packing, all eyes will be on Jude Bellingham. A man of high work rate who can decide the game in both boxes.
