Police raid Anambra drug Den, rescue 15-Year-old pregnant girl

Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command have raided a notorious drug bunk in the state, rescuing a 15-year-old pregnant girl who was allegedly held captive and sexually abused by multiple men.

​The operation, which followed a tip-off from concerned residents, led to the dismantling of the criminal hideout and the arrest of several suspects at the scene.

​According to police sources, the raid was executed by a joint task force targeting high-crime zones in the state. Upon breaching the location predominantly used for illicit drug trafficking and consumption. Officers discovered the teenage victim in a debilitated condition.

​Preliminary investigations reveal that the minor had been lured to the den, heavily drugged, and subjected to repeated sexual exploitation by various individuals frequenting the bunker. Medical examinations have since confirmed that the 15-year-old is pregnant.

​The Anambra State Police Command confirmed the development, emphasizing their commitment to ridding the state of criminal havens.

The rescued teenager has been transferred to a secure medical facility where she is receiving comprehensive physical and psychological care. Welfare officials have also been contacted to ensure her long-term rehabilitation.

Multiple suspects arrested during the raid are currently undergoing interrogation. Police dynamic teams are working to identify all individuals complicit in the abuse.

The suspects will face arraignment in court as soon as investigations are concluded, with charges expected to include child trafficking, statutory rape, and illegal drug possession.
