Ahead of the highly anticipated 2027 gubernatorial election in Ogun State, the consensus governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as “Yayi,” has officially unveiled Chief (Mrs.) Adegunwa-Balogun as his running mate.
The strategic announcement, made before an enthusiastic crowd of party stalwarts, stakeholders, and supporters in Abeokuta, marks a major milestone in the APC’s roadmap to succeed the incumbent administration.
Senator Adeola, who currently represents Ogun West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, described his choice of Adegunwa-Balogun as a calculated decision aimed at ensuring balanced governance, gender inclusivity, and socio-economic development across the state.
