Nigerian artistes Zlatan and Seyi Vibez have sparked widespread online conversations following a public exchange linked to a lyric from a recently released collaboration involving Adekunle Gold.
The disagreement began shortly after the release of Life of the Faaji, a track by Adekunle Gold featuring ad libs from Zlatan.
A lyric referencing Fuji music “They love my Fuji, this one no be Fuji Moto” was interpreted by some listeners, including supporters of Seyi Vibez, as a possible reference to the singer’s Fuji Moto project.
Seyi Vibez responded through social media posts, criticizing Zlatan and questioning aspects of his music career and business interests.
The exchange escalated further after Zlatan released audio messages and posts expressing disappointment that Seyi Vibez believed the lyric was intended as a diss.
Zlatan later publicly apologized, saying he had no intention of disrespecting or targeting his colleague.
“It actually hurts that my brother thinks I would diss him in anyway,” Zlatan wrote in one post.
Reactions to the exchange have remained divided online, with some fans praising Zlatan’s attempt to de escalate tensions while others defended Seyi Vibez’s response.
The incident has generated significant discussion across social media platforms and renewed conversations about competition, fan culture, and perceived subliminal messaging within Nigeria’s music industry.
