Former Vice President and the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has continued his fence-mending mission with another visit to businessman Mohammed Hayatu-Deen at his residence in Lagos.
Atiku defeated former Rivers Governor, Chibuike Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen in the party’s recently concluded presidential primary election to clinch the coalition party’s tucket.
Sharing details of the meeting on social media, Atiku, said:
“Earlier today, I visited my brother and fellow aspirant in the ADC presidential primaries, Alhaji Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, at his residence in Lagos.
Our discussions on the state of our nation and party were frank and productive. We resolved to work together in the challenging task of reclaiming and rebuilding our beloved country for the greater good of our people.”
Recall as part of Atiku’s ongoing reconciliation tour to unite the party ahead of the 2027 general election, he had on Thursday visited his runner-up and former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, at his Abuja residence.
