Peter Obi has a lot of work to do. Why is Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso wasting his time? The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, must work hard. Can Obi defeat Bola Ahmed Tinubu who – they go on listing Tinubu’s strategies and strengths – mostly suggesting that the 2027 presidential election would be determined by lawlessness.
These comments are about Obi, Kwankwaso, Senator Seriake Dickson, National Leader of NDC and the task ahead. They are made as if a better Nigeria would be only for their benefit. Should it? Would it?
Why are you as an individual not bothered with what Tinubu has made of your life since 2023? Were you not expecting that he would have been better than Muhammadu Buhari, who as President peppered Nigerians with policies that ensured they lost confidence in their governments.
Through Buhari, APC, introduced Nigerians to versions of hardship that they never knew. A party that hounded President Goodluck Jonathan out of office because Jonathan was “clueless” has no scruples, no qualms about anything except Tinubu and his tiny clique who believe that appointments and control of national resources could be the entire purpose of government.
We have collectively suffered. We cannot feed ourselves. Insecurity chases us everywhere. Our children are mal-nourished, enrolled in schools that are mainly on strike as teachers trade words with governments over unpaid wages. An illness these days is close to a death sentence.
Everyone thought nobody, no administration would be worse than Buhari. With all his huge failings, Tinubu’s scorching policies make Buhari’s Nigeria a haven, if not heaven.
Tinubu promised to continue from where Buhari stopped. One thought that was campaign speech to assure Buhari’s supporters that their loots would be safe. He needed their votes.
Nobody thought Tinubu’s bragging about hitting the ground running was to immediately start unleashing series of policies that will install near unbreakable relationships between Nigerians and poverty.
Tinubu counts them as reforms, achievements that he boasts about. Tinubu promises to do more what?
By now everyone should be reviewing his Tinubu experience and making decisions on 2027. The concerns should centre on how, you, as an individual, should stop the hardship that is before you, and defend yourself against any reasons that could make Tinubu an option in 2027.
Dickson, Obi, Kwankwaso are not the ones to remove Tinubu. Just three votes cannot remove Tinubu.
Millions of your votes are required to remove Tinubu. Millions of our votes are needed to stop the scourge called Tinubu. His undeniable delight in proving he is something by making your lives experiments for his nothingness is not worth your support.
Is his haughtiness something we should tolerate? What reason would explain a President that is shielded from the consequences of his sloppy policies? Tinubu is carrying on uncaring, unconcerned. He never takes responsibility for anything.
You have a big role to play in voting Tinubu out. Let people by not fooled by insinuation that Tinubu cannot be voted out because unlawful powers are available to him.
The pain Tinubu is to Nigerians is obvious.
“I wish I never sent them to school,” were the heart-shredding words of a farmer whose four children, daughter-in-law and infant grandchild were abducted during the school attacks in parts of Oyo State. Government reaction has as always been lethargic even with a video that circulated of one of the teachers being beheaded. Non-kinetic approaches, the government’s preferred response to killing of Nigerians leaves children, their teachers, and thousands of Nigerians in captivity while Tinubu gloats over his achievements that rest on his inability to protect Nigerians.
Loss of lives means nothing to Tinubu.
His only enterprise is winning the 2027 election no matter what it costs. Part of the price Nigerians pay for Tinubu’s destructive indulgence – he calls it governance – is the constant loss of lives.
It is obvious that Tinubu does not want to say a word that could annoy the attackers. He cannot afford to annoy them, risk more attacks which would raise more anti-Tinubu headlines as he waddles to the election.
How many parents in Oyo feel like the farmer? Don’t parents in other parts of Nigeria feel worse?
Some do not need to step out of their homes to be taken. We have all become victims of a President so obsessed with power that he abhors governance that can pull people out of the miasma of exploiting Nigeria for Tinubu’s good.
Sometimes his incoherence is cause for concern. His supporters would cheer as if they were mesmerised, or simply incapable of understanding that Tinubu is a cocktail of epidemic disasters plastered over by blusters in a Chicagoan accent that he should ordinarily avoid. The accent provokes memories of a past Tinubu dreads to make public. Who understands why he embraces Chicago?

“The truth is I took over from myself. The late Buhari is me; he was a partner. If I took over from him, is that not from myself?,” Tinubu told his supporters in April. What could this mean?
Is Tinubu suddenly proud of Buhari? Does Tinubu want to claim Buhari’s modest attainments?
Tinubu is desperate to remain President. His Buhari claim is to please Northern voters.
Eight years of Buhari/Tinubu, plus another years of Tinubu are adequate. Tinubu should just go.
A barely schooled Buhari seemingly managed Nigeria better than a President groomed in Chicago, degrees and accents.
Buhari was never Tinubu. We thought Buhari was a blight that should not have lasted eight years.
How desperate can Tinubu be to attempt appropriating Buhari’s administration?
Let us look no further in search of Tinubu’s emptiness. He confirms it himself. He has scrolled through three years of his delightful disasters at the expense of Nigerians.
It is time we acted decisively to make those who want to rig the 2027 elections uncomfortable. We continue to add rigging and manipulation of election results to mastered skills we award individuals and applaud them.
We should stop it. Together we can get Tinubu out, retrieve, and repair it.
Nigeria is spinning out of control under an absentee President whose understanding of leadership is in speeches that explain the indifference of the Commander-in-Chief at a time of gross insecurity.
We cannot with Tinubu splashing disasters and sadness across Nigeria.

JUSTICE Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has ruled that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, exceeded it powers through its guidelines for the 2027 elections that ran against the Electoral Act. He annulled the guidelines in a suit that the Youth Party instituted. Will INEC comply?
THOSE who follow the Nigerian football league have two top games in the title race. Ikorodu City vs. Rangers International; Rangers lead the league table, and the result determines the champion. Rivers United vs. Katsina United, where Rivers trail Rangers by just one point is another great game. Rivers need a win and a Rangers loss to secure the title.
CONGRATULATIONS to long-suffering Arsenal fans for winning the English Premiership, especially before the last day. Not waiting until the final day saved many from heart attacks, and possibly worse.
