Members of the House of Representatives caucus of the Nigeria Democratic Congress have reaffirmed their loyalty to the party and pledged to intensify opposition against the Federal Government ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The lawmakers made the declaration during a visit to the party’s National Leader, Henry Seriake Dickson, at his Abuja residence, where discussions reportedly centred on strengthening the party’s structure and positioning it as a formidable political force ahead of the next electoral cycle.
The delegation was led by the House Minority Leader, Victor Afam Ogene, alongside several lawmakers who reiterated their commitment to the ideals and objectives of the party.
Among those present during the meeting were George Ozodinobi, Okey-Joe Onuakalusi, Lillian Orogbu, Atta Thaddeous Achief, Chijioke Okereke, Peter Ozokwe, Murphy Osaro Omoruyi, Emeka Idu, Manuchim Omezuruike, Muktar Umar Zakari, Yusuf Umar Datti, Peter Aniekwe, and Uchenna Harris Okonkwo.
The gathering also attracted prominent political figures, including the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and former Kano State governor as well as ex-presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
