The Action Peoples Party (APP) on Thursday held ward, LGA and state congresses in Lagos State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports new officials emerged by consensus at the APP secretariat in Igando, Alimosho.
Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) monitored the congresses across the state.
Congress Committee Chairman, Mrs Omotolani Osho, presented the consensus list for wards, LGAs and the state, ratified by voice vote.
Osho confirmed Mrs Abiola Adeyemi’s re-election as state chairman for another four-year term.
“Other unopposed executives include Mr Onwumelu Nobert, Mr Olaleye Oladapo, Mr Taire Folorunsho and Mr Rolland Evbadoloyi.
“Also elected are Mrs Rerry Olayinka, Dr Suleiman Wasiu, Mr Ademola Adebayo and Mrs Ronke Ishola.
“Mr Emmanuel Adelakun and Alhaji Alli Uthman-Balogun complete the list as Youth Leader and Deputy Chairman, West,” she said.
Osho described the process as peaceful and lawful, urging the new leadership to remain committed to party ideals.
She commended INEC officials and called for inclusive democracy to advance national development.
Osho urged members to begin mobilisation ahead of primaries and the 2027 general elections.
In her acceptance speech, Adeyemi thanked members and pledged dedication to the party’s growth in Lagos State.
“This is another opportunity to lead our party to prominence. We are a credible alternative for aspirants committed to economic improvement and unity.
“Our members must remain focused and undeterred. The coming elections offer a chance to reinvent our party.
“We are open to credible aspirants who wish to contest under our platform,” she said.
APP chieftain, Mr Emeka Obodo, called for inclusion of minority parties, saying, “APP is rising stronger and we will win.”
“No aspirant needs to sell assets to contest here. We invite well-meaning Nigerians to join,” Obodo added.
Another leader, Mr Samson Okobi, expressed optimism about the party’s prospects and national agenda.
Okobi said: “We are set to soar in 2027. There is a bright future for this party. Let us combine resources for a better Nigeria. APP remains a high flyer.”
NAN reports the new officials were sworn in after taking the oath of office.
