The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State Command, has announced the deployment of 275 officers and personnel ahead of the second-term inauguration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his deputy, Onyekachukwu Ibezim, scheduled to take place on March 17, 2026.
The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Bridget Asekhauno, disclosed the development while addressing officers and men of the command during a briefing on preparations for the event.
According to her, the deployment is part of comprehensive arrangements put in place to ensure smooth traffic flow, road safety, and effective emergency response across major routes and strategic locations in the state during the inauguration ceremony.
Asekhauno said the personnel would be supported by 29 operational vehicles, including patrol vehicles, motorcycles, ambulances, and tow trucks, which have been strategically positioned across the state to enhance mobility and prompt response to incidents.
She emphasised that the command remains committed to maintaining order on the roads and ensuring the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and dignitaries expected to attend the ceremony.
The sector commander urged the officers to demonstrate a high level of discipline, professionalism, and dedication while carrying out their duties throughout the period of the inauguration.
She noted that the presence of FRSC personnel across key junctions and major highways would help prevent traffic congestion, respond quickly to emergencies, and ensure compliance with road safety regulations.
Asekhauno also called on motorists and road users in Anambra State to cooperate with traffic officials and adhere strictly to traffic rules and regulations to ensure a hitch-free event.
The second-term inauguration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his deputy Onyekachukwu Ibezim is expected to attract government officials, political leaders, and supporters from across the country, making traffic management and security coordination a priority for relevant agencies.
