Amaka Ojo, a film director, says improved storytelling, advanced cinematography and professional sound design are now essential for market competitiveness in Nollywood.
A film director, Mrs Amaka Ojo said this would enhance Nigeria’s creative exports and attract additional foreign partnerships.
According to her, investors are showing greater interest in structured projects with defined distribution strategies.
“Nollywood producers are increasingly prioritising cinema-grade productions as audience expectations rise in the streaming era.”
She said collaboration with international streaming platforms had elevated technical standards across the industry.
“Viewers now compare local productions with global content, so quality can no longer be compromised,” Ojo said.
She, however, noted that access to funding and technical training remained critical to sustaining the momentum.
