( a poem for El Rufai)
By Emmanuel Gandu
Warrior of the forest kingdom
His word the jungle command
His court many courtiers dare absent
His jungle assembly Marshal law
The cry of the hunter
Hunter can’t have his ordinary hunt
Because the beasts leaves no track
The beasts swings through the forest
Like wise and wild beasts
The cry of the hunter
Finding himself uncomfortably embroiled
Alienated by friends and foes
Slid into desperation and desolation
Lamentations and ignominy sets in
The hunter is now the hunted
