The Adamawa State Government has urged residents to come out in large numbers to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he begins a one-day working visit to the state on Monday. In a public announcement issued on Sunday, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Iliya James, said the visit of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces necessitated temporary road closures to ensure a smooth and secure movement across key parts of the state capital.
According to the statement, the roads to be affected include Airport–Kofare Road through Galadima Aminu Way/Bank Road, Jimeta Grade Interchange/Police Roundabout, Justice Buba Ardo Way, Adamawa Sunshine Express–Faro Road, as well as other connecting routes. The government appealed to motorists to cooperate with security agencies and traffic officials by using alternative routes during the period of the visit.
Residents were also encouraged to troop out en masse to give the President a warm reception. Officials said the measures were part of efforts to maintain order and guarantee public safety while hosting the President, assuring citizens that normal traffic flow would resume immediately after the visit.
