The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State has dismissed the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a recycled political coalition, insisting that it lacks the capacity to pose any serious challenge to the ruling party’s dominance in the state.

The party said the ADC, irrespective of the political platform it adopts, would be unable to wrest power from the APC in the caliphate, predicting a landslide defeat for the coalition in future elections.

The Sokoto State Chairman of the APC, Isah Sadik Achida, made the remarks on Thursday during an all-inclusive stakeholders’ meeting of party leaders and members held in Tambuwal Local Government Area of the state.

Achida described the ADC as a gathering of familiar political actors who had failed under previous platforms, arguing that repackaging under a new coalition would not change their political fortunes in Sokoto State.

He maintained that the APC remained firmly rooted among the people of the state, attributing the party’s strength to its track record, internal cohesion and widespread grassroots support across local government areas.

The APC chairman urged party members to remain united and focused, stressing that sustained mobilisation and engagement at the grassroots level would ensure the party’s continued electoral success in the state.
