The CEO of Fendini Group, Prince Adelaja Adeoye, has urged building professionals to prioritise safety and strict compliance with planning regulations.

Adeoye made the call in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday after his Convocation Ceremony at Lead City University, Ibadan.

He received his Master’s Degree in Property Development and Management during the event.

Adeoye said the rising cases of building collapse highlighted the need for engineers, architects and developers to follow zoning laws and building codes.

“Prioritising safety from the project planning stage is key,” he said.

According to him, adherence to zoning regulations and required planning permits can prevent many disasters.

He emphasised the need for industry players to acquire the right knowledge for effective collaboration with regulators and investors.

Speaking on his new qualification, Adeoye described it as the product of years of rigorous academic effort.

He said the degree had sharpened his expertise as a developer specialising in residential, commercial, industrial and hospitality projects.

Adeoye added that the achievement would strengthen his capacity to promote compliance and excellence within Fendini Homes.

He expressed gratitude to God, his family, mentors, lecturers and the Lead City University community for their support.
