President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to the country after a brief working visit to France.
He left Abuja on Monday evening in the new presidential jet, Airbus a330, now trailed by controversy over its cost and age.
The president touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 2:25 this Friday, August 23 morning.
Safely back in the country and to work, the President is expected, as his first official engagement for the day, to swear in the newly appointed Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun this morning at the Council Chambers of the State House, according to a statement issued yesterday (Thursday, August 22) by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale.
The swearing in of Kekere-Ekun is sequel to the exit of Justice Olukayode Ariwoola upon reaching the mandatory retirement age of 70.
