What is going on in parts of Lagos markets?
Is this war against Igbo people?
Are the properties’ owners in contraventions of established laws of building?
You can’t tell me that all these properties being pulled down in parts of Lagos markets didn’t get the appropriate approvals and they were allowed to be completed.
The Lagos I knew will mark the building with warning signs as they are being built.
Was this done?
Did the owners ignore the warnings?
Didn’t they get the requisite permission and approvals?
Why are they now being pulled down?
Did Lagos State Government intentionally allow the construction to go on just that they will teach the owners ‘a lesson that Lagos is not a no-man’s land?’
Are there lessons for the Igbo owners/businessmen to learn from this?
Who is behind this obviously manifest destruction of a people’s sweat and livelihood?
Could somebody help me answer these questions?
I am disturbed and crestfallen.
