Journalist and political analyst, Reuben Abati, has taken a swipe at the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, following his recent remarks about Peter Obi, former President Goodluck Jonathan, and ex-Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai.

Speaking on television, Abati faulted Wike’s outburst, stressing that the former Rivers State governor lacks the moral standing to attack respected political figures in such a manner.

“Wike is not in a position to talk about character. In fact, he should question his own character. I blame the media. Yesterday, he was talking about Peter Obi, Jonathan, and El-Rufai. The media are the ones going to interview him, and they are the ones collecting money”.

His comments come in reaction to Wike’s recent tirade where he spoke critically about the trio, sparking widespread discussions. Abati argued that giving Wike a platform to make such “reckless and unintelligent” remarks only emboldens him to disrespect leaders without accountability.
