Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has agreed to join French D1 Arkema giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) as a free agent after her contract with Atlético Madrid expired in June 2025.
The 24-year-old winger, who led Nigeria to their 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in Morocco and earned the tournament’s Best Player award, is set to finalize her move in the coming days, with medicals and contract details pending. Ajibade will join compatriot Jennifer Echegini at PSG, boosting the club’s ambitions in domestic and UEFA Women’s Champions League competitions.
The transfer follows interest from several clubs, including teams in the U.S. Major League Soccer, but PSG secured her signature.
