Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, through their media company Archewell Productions, have signed a new multi-year, first-look deal with Netflix, announced on August 11, 2025, as confirmed by Netflix’s press release. Unlike their previous $100 million, five-year exclusive deal from 2020, this agreement gives Netflix the right of first refusal on Archewell’s film and television projects, reflecting a less lucrative but more flexible arrangement, per The New York Times. Meghan expressed pride in extending the partnership, which now includes her lifestyle brand As Ever, stating, “My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally.” Upcoming projects include season two of With Love, Meghan, a holiday special titled With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration, a documentary short Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within about a Ugandan orphanage, and a film adaptation of Carley Fortune’s novel Meet Me at the Lake.

The deal counters earlier speculation that Netflix would end ties with the couple, following their initial contract’s September 2025 expiration. Their 2022 docuseries Harry & Meghan remains Netflix’s most-watched documentary debut with 23.4 million views, while With Love, Meghan garnered 12.6 million hours viewed in its first week, per Netflix data. Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, praised the couple as “influential voices” whose work, including Heart of Invictus and Polo, resonates globally. The As Ever brand, integrated into the deal, has seen success with products like jams and rosé selling out quickly, per Forbes.
