The Atiku Care Foundation has awarded full academic scholarships to outstanding Nigerian students who emerged as global champions at the recently concluded TeenEagle International Competition.

The foundation, chaired by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, announced the scholarship awards during a special reception held in Abuja on Wednesday to honour the young champions.

The TeenEagle competition, a prestigious global educational contest, saw Nigerian students shine among peers from over 30 countries, demonstrating excellence in literacy, leadership, and innovation.

Speaking at the event, Director-General of the Atiku Care Foundation, Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas, praised the students for projecting a positive image of Nigeria on the world stage.

These young stars have not only made Nigeria proud but also proven that with the right support, Nigerian youth can compete and excel globally. The Foundation is proud to invest in their future,” Abbas said.

The scholarships will cover full tuition, educational materials, and mentorship support throughout the students’ academic journeys in Nigeria.

One of the beneficiaries, 14-year-old Maryam Okechukwu from Anambra State, who won the gold medal in creative writing, expressed gratitude for the opportunity.

This scholarship is a dream come true. I’m inspired to keep striving and make greater impact in the future,” she said.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, in a goodwill message, commended the students and reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment and educational advancement through his foundation.

Education remains the most powerful tool to build a better society. We will continue to support young talents to reach their full potential,” he stated.

The TeenEagle Global Competition continues to be a platform for nurturing and showcasing young talents worldwide, and this year’s success by Nigerian students marks another milestone in the country’s educational development.
