NIGERIA’S national women basketball team and champions of AfroBasket, D’Tigress, will arrive in Abuja, today to a presidential reception.
The Eagle D’Tigress on Sunday defeated Mali 78-64 to clinch the continental title for the fifth consecutive time.
A chartered flight will airlift from Abidjan.
They are expected to arrive at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja by noon.
Speculations are rife about how President Bola Tinubu will reward the team after last week’s gifts of $100,000, a house, and national honours to the Super Falcons, the national female football team, when they won Nigeria’s 10th WAFCON title.
