Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu cast his vote alongside his wife at Ward 06, Okepopo East LCDA in Lagos Island during the ongoing local government elections in Lagos State. The governor arrived early, greeted electoral officials, and expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the polls at his voting unit, noting that the process was peaceful and orderly.
Meanwhile, voter turnout was visibly building in parts of Surulere as residents trickled to polling units. Some delay in the distribution of election materials was reported in select LCDAs within Ikeja, though officials say the situation is being addressed.
