Nigeria’s National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has declared controversial entertainer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, wanted on serious criminal charges including rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking. The agency announced this via its official channels on Friday afternoon, issuing a formal wanted notice that includes the rapper’s photograph and multiple aliases.
The wanted declaration follows disturbing allegations that emerged in May 2025 after a viral Instagram Live video in which Speed Darlington claimed to have defiled a 15-year-old girl.
The case has been under investigation since late May, with NAPTIP initially inviting the entertainer to appear at their headquarters in Abuja. However, the agency rejected Speed Darlington’s proposed appearance date of June 26, 2025, leading to the formal wanted status being issued. NAPTIP is urging anyone with credible information about Speed Darlington’s whereabouts to contact the agency immediately through their hotline at 07030000203 or via email at info@naptip.gov.ng. The agency’s wanted poster lists several aliases for the entertainer, including “Akpi,” “Irregular Speedometer,” “Scorpion King,” and “Speedy.”
