The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu in collaboration with the Beautiful Gate Handicapped Center Jos, has donated One Hundred and Thirty wheelchairs and twenty Crunches to people with Special Needs in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State.
The spokesperson for the Minister, Sadiq Nura Maiyaka, said the Minister was determined to assist those with Special needs to carry out their lively activities as same with others in the society.
He advised the beneficiaries to use the wheelchairs and not to sell them so that they could go around their activities without stress.
The Director of Media at the Beautiful Gate Handicapped Center Jos, Sandra Riliwan, said this was not the first the center collaborated with wealthy individuals and organizations to assist those with Special Needs in Kebbi State.
She, therefore, urged for more partners so that they can assist those with Special Needs not only in Kebbi State but the country as a whole and beyond.
Also, an initiator of the Programme and a teacher from Dr. Amina Girls Secondary School Kebbi State, Halima Danjuma Fatauci, said she was moved and apathetic way some are crippling trying to move around without assistance from wealthy individuals and decided to make mona the contribution so that she can assist some with wheelchair for them to move with ease.
She thanked the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, and the Handicapped Center Jos for accepting her request by donating 130 wheelchairs and 20 Crunches to people living with disability in Kebbi State.
