The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has advised persons whose family members were on the road early on Saturday morning and are yet to arrive their destinations to contact the FRSC office in Ibafo, Ogun State for information.
The call came following a road crash around NIPCO filling station along the Lagos – Ibadan expressway in which some people reportedly died.
Mrs Florence Okpe, who is the Spokesperson, for the FRSC Ogun Command, in a statement said the driver of a Mack truck lost control and rammed into two other vehicles.
Okpe said that 15 persons comprising 13 men and two women, were involved in the incident out of which seven died and four sustained injuries.
” The injured victims were taken to Divine Touch and Glory Center Hospitals, Ibafo, while those who died are in Idera morgue in Sagamu,” she said.
Okpe stated that the crash, which occurred at 7:00 am on Saturday involved a Mack truck with registration number SEY 363 YY, a petrol tanker with registration number T2900LA and a commercial bus with registration number LSD 180 YA.
