The Catholic Diocese of Uromi is set to witness a significant milestone in its history as the Bishop of Uromi Diocese, Most Rev. Donatus Ogun (OSA), prepares to launch the fully established Institute of Leadership and Management on March 17, 2025.
The institute aims to provide training and development programs for leaders and managers in dioceses in the Country. The institute’s mission is to equip individuals with the skills, knowledge, and values necessary to lead and manage effectively, with a focus on servant leadership principles and Catholic values.
The launch ceremony, scheduled to take place on March 17, 2025, promises to be a memorable event, with dignitaries from the Catholic Church, government, and other sectors expected to attend.
According to the bishop in an exclusive interview with the National Director of Social Communications of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Fr. Michael Umoh, “The Institute of Leadership and Management is a response to the need for effective leadership and management in our dioceses and the Nigerian society at large. We believe that by providing training and development programs, we can help build leaders who are committed to serving others and making positive impacts in their communities.”
The launch of the institute is expected to mark a new chapter in the diocese’s efforts to promote leadership development and capacity building, thereby empowering especially the young people.
