Northern governors, members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), and key political stakeholders converged on the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Conference Centre in Kaduna on Sunday, September 13, 2026, to launch a coordinated campaign for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, ahead of the 2027 general elections. ​
The high-level political gathering, organised by the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Ibrahim Masari, brought together delegates and support groups from all 19 northern states to establish a unified regional front.
The list of Prominent Attendees include the Host Governor Senator Uba Sani (Kaduna), Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Governor Mai Mala Buni (Yobe), Governor Babagana Umara Zulum (Borno), Minister of Defence General Christopher Musa (rtd.), and Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters Ibrahim Masari. ​Speaking as the host and key advocate for the region, Governor Uba Sani declared that northern support for President Tinubu is rooted in measurable developmental achievements rather than political sentiments. ​
“They are not endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu based on sentiments or selfish reasons. It is simply because of what he has done for Nigeria, and Northern Nigeria in particular, in education, infrastructure, healthcare, and agriculture.
Over 60% of NELFUND and TVET benefits have gone to the North because the President believes in one Nigeria without discrimination.” Senator Uba Sani stated. ​Representing the Federal Executive Council, Minister of Defence General Christopher Musa (rtd.) highlighted the administration’s progress on regional security and social cohesion through his support structure, GCG Musawah 4 PBAT 2027.
​”We must remain determined to build this country because together we are stronger as a nation. God put us in Nigeria to build it, and we have both the human and material resources to succeed. Sustainable progress requires unity, religious tolerance, and commitment to the national interest.” said Gen. Christopher Musa (rtd.).
​Additionally, Ambassador Polycarp Gankon, National Coordinator of the political movement, praised the turnout of over 300 affiliated groups across the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State, noting that grassroots mobilization for the Tinubu-Sani ticket would expand across all wards in the North ahead of 2027.
