The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led Rainbow Coalition in Bayelsa State has formally unveiled its campaign schedule to mobilize grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 general elections.
​The declaration was made in a press statement issued in Yenagoa by the PDP State Publicity Secretary, Ikaebimo Mark. The political alignment, steered in the state by PDP Chairman High Chief (Hon.) Alabh George Turnah, MON, Esq., aims to deploy its structures across all eight local government areas and 105 electoral wards to secure a decisive turnout for the President.
​The campaign itinerary outlines a phased political roadmap designed to transition from early administrative harmonization to intensive, state-wide voter outreach. Party organs across state and local government headquarters will initiate statutory meetings from October 26 to October 28, 2026, to align strategy.
Following these organizational sessions, members will embark on a three-day pre-campaign fasting, prayer, and solemn assembly spanning November 5 to November 7, 2026, to seek divine guidance ahead of public rallies.
​The public phase of the campaign will formally open at 10:00 AM on November 8, 2026, with a campaign dedication and thanksgiving service. The following day, November 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM, leadership will convene at the Party Secretariat in Yenagoa for the official inauguration of the Bayelsa State Campaign Council.
Flag-off rallies across the senatorial districts will then take place at 10:00 AM daily across Bayelsa Central, Bayelsa East, and Bayelsa West on November 17, November 19, and November 21, 2026, respectively. Beginning November 23, 2026, campaign teams will transition directly into a local government area tour and sustained ward-to-ward mobilisation across all 105 wards in the state.
​Party spokesperson Ikaebimo Mark reiterated the coalition’s resolve to maintain high ethical standards and promote peace throughout the electioneering period.
​”The PDP campaign schedule is structured to allow candidates and stakeholders to connect directly with citizens at the grassroots level, listen to community needs, and present actionable development plans,” Mark noted. “We strongly urge our members, supporters, and campaign managers to demonstrate discipline, exercise tolerance, and strictly operate within the legal framework of our electoral laws.”
​State Chairman High Chief Alabh George Turnah added that the Rainbow Coalition remains steadfast in uniting political forces within Bayelsa to consolidate South-South support for President Tinubu’s continued governance.
