The Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, has declared that the state has firmly transitioned into an unrepentant one-party stronghold dedicated exclusively to delivering a landslide victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election.
Governor Uzodimma made these assertions on Saturday, July 18, 2026, during an expanded stakeholders’ mobilization meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held at the Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu Square in Owerri, the state capital.
Addressing thousands of enthusiastic party faithful, local government leaders, and regional representatives, Uzodimma who also serves as the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Ambassador stated that opposition parties in Imo State have effectively ceased to exist.
”Let no one deceive you; Imo State is unrepentantly a one-party state under the APC,” Uzodimma declared. “The structure we have built from the polling units to the state level is synchronized for one ultimate goal: to deliver a massive, unprecedented vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in next year’s election.”
The high-stakes political gathering, which commenced at 11:00 AM, was organized to officially flag off the APC Ward-to-Ward Mobilization Initiative ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Uzodimma emphasized that the administration’s far-reaching economic reforms and national infrastructure projects under the “Renewed Hope Agenda” have given the Southeast a renewed sense of belonging.
According to the governor, the only logical response from the region is complete, undivided electoral loyalty. ”We are not just looking for a simple majority,” Uzodimma told the crowd.
“We are engineering a sweeping mandate that will prove to the entire country that Imo State is completely aligned with the center. The opposition is in a permanent state of comatose, and we will not give them the breathing room to resurrect.”
Also speaking at the event, the Imo State APC Chairman, Sir Macdonald Ebere, echoed the governor’s sentiments, stating that the party’s machinery across the 27 Local Government Areas has been fully greased for the upcoming campaign season.
Ebere remarked that the governor’s unmatched performance in the state makes marketing the APC an effortless task for party mobilizers. The meeting concluded at 2:30 PM with the formal presentation of campaign mobilization vehicles and materials to the 305 electoral wards in the state, signaling a robust and early start to the 2027 presidential campaign cycle in the Southeast.
