A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Hon. Gabriel Bravo Oluohu, has expressed strong confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will record an overwhelming victory in the state in the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking to newsmen in Abuja on Sunday, November 8, 2026, Oluohu stated that the political landscape in Cross River State has shifted heavily in favor of the ruling party, primarily driven by the impressive governance record of Governor Bassey Otu.
According to Oluohu, a long-standing APC stakeholder, Governor Otu’s “People First” administration has delivered tangible developmental projects across key sectors, cementing the party’s acceptability among citizens and positioning Cross River as a stronghold for the APC ahead of 2027.
”We are ready to go. Governor Bassey Otu’s performance across the state has laid a solid foundation that will deliver Cross River State for President Tinubu and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections,” Oluohu declared.
Highlighting the realignment of political forces in the state, the APC chieftain noted that opposition structures have significantly weakened since the 2023 elections.
He observed that the influence of opposition parties, including the Labour Party (LP), has waned as key political actors, lawmakers, and grassroots organizers continue to defect to the APC to align with the developmental agenda of both the state and federal governments.
Oluohu’s remarks follow broader consensus building within the state, including a major endorsement rally held by Cross River North stakeholders in Abuja, where prominent leaders, including Hon. Cynthia Nkasi, Papa DC Enamhe, Chief Peter Ojie, and Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, reaffirmed their commitment to delivering maximum votes for President Tinubu and Governor Otu in 2027.
He urged party members and constituents to remain united and continue expanding the APC’s grassroots footprint to ensure a landslide victory in the upcoming electoral cycle.
